.htaccess again :D Need some help.

I have no idea why but i never got it. .htaccess code makes no sense to me

How do i permanently redirect all the pages on this domain http://www.thelocalforum.co.uk to http://www.thelocalforum.co.uk index page. So for example i have a bunch of internal pages and directories eg http://www.thelocalforum.co.uk/forum/ etc redirecting to index page.
