hsbc account and paypal !

    hey i want to open an personal checking account at hsbc usa , but when i asked them they told me that i cant use that account to withdraw money from paypal ???
    its strange
    i want to know if someone are using paypal with an hsbc account .

    I have an HSBC Canada account linked to my PP, and I've never had a problem with it. Have withdrawn & deposited funds from/to my PP.

    Its really strange to hear that as there are loads of people of DP itself who are using HSBC bank for withdrawal from paypal.

    You can withdraw money from Paypal to your HSBC account as long as you reside in the same country.

    HSBC provides offshore banking so if you live in the ex-Belgian Congo, as in example, you can open a USA bank account, but then you may find issues withdrawing.

    ''We cannot open personal accounts to accept funds for goods or services paid for through Paypal. '' ????
    do someone know something about it ??
