Hi guys...have a huge favour to ask the css gurus.... i have an open realty site im trying to develop....using a template that has a fixed width of 700px.... is it possible to change that from fixed to fluid? if so..is there alot of work involved in it....? and i suppose more importantly, as im broke..lol would anyone be willing to have a go for "cheap" Really appreciate any help / tips that anyone could give... thanks in advance to any responders... tones
Hi shallowink.... Yes its installed..dunno if im allowed to post links but ill drop u a pm now...see if u can help in any way...thanks a lot "cheap"..i dunno man...lol suppose it depends on how much work is involved....but can only prolly stretch to 5 or 10 bucks...to some thats peanuts..to others a lot...i hope im not insulting u by posting that amount tones
That's cheap. I know the real estate market's down, just didn't realize it was that down Best go for the free pointers. Most skinning jobs go for more than that. Have to realize it takes at least a few hours to go through the entire site. And if you hired someone who didn't, well they would be slackards. I'll look at the link and see what you got though.
lol ...its prolly not...but i sure is im wondering even if i could get it to expand even just to the 1024 res....or just below that...i know (at least i think u are) supposed to build with 800 x 600 screen res in mind...? right? just think the 700 wide is too narrow...
Last stats I saw, the 800x600 crowd is slowly disappearing. Aim more to the 1024 crowd. So yeah that could be good. Maybe around 900px is best IMO. Leaves room for the chrome and breathing space to either side. But your site doesn't need a complete job. Just a tweak so maybe I can do something with it.
Oh man...id be forever in ure debt and yes...that 900 px sounds like the right way to go... let me know if u decide to have a ppe and i can give u watever access u might need... again...Thank u sooo much for taking the time to respond to my cry for help tones
Uhm, actually, screen resolution is meaningless. Also don't forget that your site has to be 800x600 friendly if you want it to be able to print on a standard 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper without requiring a separate printer stylesheet.
