Adie of NetBussinesblog has been running a series of posts about how to make a small forum site, in order to generate revenue. It's a great little guide, that goes step-by-step in - how to build your own niche community. One of the most down-to-earth tutorials I've seen lately. There are 8 parts: http://www.netbusinessblog.com/mini-niche-affiliate-site-using-a-forum-part-1/ http://www.netbusinessblog.com/mini-niche-affiliate-site-using-a-forum-part-2/ http://www.netbusinessblog.com/mini-niche-affiliate-site-using-a-forum-part-3/ http://www.netbusinessblog.com/mini-niche-affiliate-site-using-a-forum-part-4/ http://www.netbusinessblog.com/mini-niche-affiliate-site-using-a-forum-part-5/ http://www.netbusinessblog.com/mini-niche-affiliate-site-using-a-forum-part-6/ http://www.netbusinessblog.com/mini-niche-affiliate-site-using-a-forum-part-7/ http://www.netbusinessblog.com/mini-niche-affiliate-site-using-a-forum-part-8/ Enjoy P.S: I have no connection with this site whatsoever, just wanted to share an interesting article with DP members
Thanks, I've been looking for a something to get started regarding forums. But what I've heard, forums usually don't really monetize well. The series of blog posts is really down to earth and shows exactly what the creator did, but unfortunately its not finished yet. The setup of the forum is more or less finished, but marketing, promoting, and getting the forum started is an entirely new beast to tackle.
