    Hi there,

I want to know that how are the 15 outbound links including from home page of a 200 pages site.

Can the site be penalized by Google for having 15-20 outbound links on different pages?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards

I would rather have links on 15-20 different IP's vs one.. which is what it sounds like to me

Are you asking if a site will be penalized for having 15-20 outbound links on a page? Because the answer is no.

If you are asking if a site will be penalized for having 15-20 links from a single external page pointed to it, then probably not (though it wont help your rankings). If those links are distributed through a site, then it depends, as you are allowed to have a very small percentage of sitewides and such.

The question is a little confusing but let me try and explain what I think you mean.

Your site will not get banned for linking out to other sites, 15-20 whatever. However, if you link to banned sites or bad neighborhoods you are not deemed an authority and will lose your rankings and possibly get a slight penalty.

Choose sites wisely and perform a link audit on them every month to make sure they are still live, have pagerank and are not penalized.

Also, be aware that you will lose pagerank if you link out to too many sites from the homepage. External links are best placed on your site in deep level pages that do not have much pagerank themselves... Therefore you pass less pagerank onto them.

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Is there any automatic way to Audit the sites to check their ranking, validity, authority in order to avoid bad neighborhoods.

    Thanks

There is no surefire automatic way. There are a couple tools that scan the sites and tell you if they are live and their PR but you need to actually look at the sites yourself to ensure they are not replaced with PPC pages or they have not been hacked etc.

If you are linking to other relevant websites that will offer something useful to your website visitors, then you won't get a penalty for doing that ;)
