I have several methods I use to gain traffic to my website. I usually post updates on FaceBook and I`ll spam my friends` FaceBook profiles with my links to make them look at it. Of course, building backlinks and being ``good`` at SEO is important too if you want a high place in Google SERP.
Start off by bookmarking, and comments to related blogs. Drop a few articles, and do some marketing. The only way to get real traffic without doing PPC is to have content that people will link to. That should be your goal, write articles that either inform people with information that they cannot find on 1000 other blogs, or entertain them, so that they will link to you. You can't get traffic if you can't write, and you certainly and get it without original or interesting content.
1) Join Forums like Digital Point 2) Advertise in Craigslist 3) Submit articles to Ezinearticles 4) Join and use Digg 5) Submit to RSS Directories 6) Target niche social news sites such as Sphinn, Hugg, or Dzone 7) Join Blog Carnivals 8) Create a network of blogs and link them 9) Bookmark your site on Del.icio.us and add a Del.icio.us button to your homepage 10) Publish videos on Youtube
Go to other peoples blogs in your niche and make good comments on there. Create a link back to your site. Make sure you make excellent quality comments. You need to write a really good comment so it; 1. Gets approved 2. Attracts others to your site.
Best tips right there, follow them and not straight away but you will see long-term effects such as good PR, good amounts of backlinks etc.
Stumbleupon also a good stuff. If you are lucky and one of your post gets to the front page or lots of stumbler thumbs up your post, the related post will rise up in SERP with the related keyword...
easier said than done, everything, we need to put into practice. blog for your unique thoughts is important.
I can't fully agree with your opinion. In my opinion yahoo gives much priority to on-page optimization rather than off-page optimization while Google gives more priority to Off page optimization. I have experienced this in many websites. Regards, Lalucochin
