Most of the time i drink black coffee. Only add half and half if coffee is strong. I hate sugar in coffee, it just doesn't taste good.

I use evaporated milk and way too much sugar. I used to appreciate good coffee, but now it's about the caffine and the sugar and just getting it down.

Hillary Algar: How do you like your coffee?
Wayne: I like my coffee like I like my women.
    Hillary Algar: Really? How's that?
    Wayne: Milk and two sugars.
Hillary Algar: What does that mean?
    Wayne: I don't know.

    ~ SNL - Wayne's World

    Tell it.

    I was a disciple of the show(SNL) from 1987-1994

"A gun rack... a gun rack. I don't even own a gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I gonna do... with a gun rack?"

you know I actually wrote a letter to Mike Myers back in the day and I wish to heck I would have photo copied the letter I sent b/c he actually wrote me back!!! Sent me a pic too.

That is awesome! My girlfreind ran into him at a Starbucks in Manhattan - When she saw him, she said "Game On!" then walked away....said he seemed nice...

Sean Connery: I pose a conundrum to you. A riddle, if you will.
Alex Trebek: I don't want to hear it.
Sean Connery: What's the difference between you and a mallard with a cold? One's a sick duck... I can't remember how it ends, but you're mother's a whore.

I pretend to be young at heart and that I don't need coffee - doesn't really work :D – but so far managed to stay away from that dark liquid thanks to chocolate bars and considering coffee is first step towards other addictions.

I don't have that problem. However, I wouldn't use a surgar substitute for any reason what so ever. They are evil!

Seriously, have you read the research? In my case I had physical issues which proved they are evil. I cold make myself sick in one drink. It was not fun at all.

Recently my wife brought me home a throat lozenges. I popped one in my mouth and within minutes had abominal pain. So I got to looking at the label. It had ome of the fake sweeteners in it.

So I told her, WTF? You know better. To which she replied, the pharmacist recomended it, I figured it was safe. So I looked the damn things up on the net. Sure enough, alot of info on the product. It was a product that, IMO, breeched a trademark of another product that is legit.

We took the info to the pharmacy and the guy said wow, I got fooled too! He then took ALL of it off the shelf.

So, I don't use that crap.

I like it like Harvey Keitel in Pulp Fiction : "Lots of cream, lots of sugar"

    But without the sugar.

I used to drink 5-8 mugs of black coffee everyday untill about a month ago, & I noticed it was affecting me adversely when suddenly one day my fingers started twitching by themselves & I couldn't stop it. I decided to quit immediately, but 15 hours without coffee & I was having this sick nightmarish headache & was irritating as fuck. I did continue having coffee to avoid the headaches for about a week, the twitching kept continuing sporadically, gradually cutting down, and after about 10 days I felt much better. Now my mind doesn't race, I feel more in sync with stuff & can think much more calmly.

    I am off coffee now.

Now I drink a couple of cups of tea everyday, and it only contains about about 40mg of caffeine each cup & it's a pleasant stimulant. It certainly doesn't make my fingers twitch uncontrollably!

I'm telling you, you may think you can quit immediately but those headaches are mean if you are truly hooked. I am GLAD to be off coffee.

I'll also add that while I used to have black coffee everyday, I used to have a notably acidic feeling in my stomach which I don't now.

No doubt about the headaches. I have gotten distracted some days when my wife didn't brew the coffee and I was too lazy. By late in the day I had to have coffee to cure the headache.

i definatly dont feel awake till i get my coffee, i drink around 12 oz cups each day. Never gotten a head ache for not drinking it though. I'm working 12 hour days now so i need a bit of extra juice when doing hard coding for hours at a time. Especially this damn graphing program i made in php today, took forever because it had to be scalable to 100s of different data sets, i needed serious coffee for that.

I tend to stay away from more than 1 teaspoon of sugar at a time, so I kinda make mine a little bitter. Followed by a curiously "strong" breath mint.
