Anyone care to discuss this?

There's a reported 4,000,000 Twitter accounts with 5k-10k new ones made every day! Why isn't this a gold-mine for webmasters? A place to market their site and reach over 4,000,000..

All you have to be is nice so they start following you?

I haven't got the hang of it myself, just made the account but so far 13 followers Follow My Twitter

There is a knack to twitter, but I guess if you are yourself and don't spam you could get a following

Myself I have followed some tweets to get the hang of it, just does not appeal

twitter is great I even have my status updates right on my website at my Tech News website
I can say even though I have no followers now I improve the look and feel of my site with the integrated status update
