How Yahoo's different from Google and MSN?

    I have sites ranking high for different keywords in both Google and MSN, but I don't have much success in Yahoo, probably becuase I never concentrated on it..

    In MSN all you need is links and high keyword density;
    In Google keyword density, frequent updates and high quality links do the job,

    but what about Yahoo?
    Which methods helped you to get on top in Yahoo?

    Yahoo is all about links and not doing anything against their policy guidlines. They also seem to like a lower keyword density.

    I have been testing my theory on keyword density. I have seen several sites with low density, ranked at #1. Other times I have seen high density sites ranked at #1. I think there are other factors playing into it. Possibly inbound links or keywords in URL.

    Yahoo's trying to become more like Google all the time it seems to me. They seem to be preferring sites that have been established for awhile (new sites have to wait around 3 months minimum before getting results for competitive keywords and they definitely favor older domains). It didn't used to be like that. Keyword density doesnt seem to matter too much, I've seen it both ways. Even high keyword density doesn't get a site penalized though (look at # 1 for this search http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=dog+bite+attorney&fr=FP-tab-web-t&toggle=1&cop=&ei=UTF-8
    Guy uses tons of invisible text with "dog bite" over and over again. I think Yahoo is more into links right now then they have been in the past. That's what's working for most of my sites in Yahoo anyways.

    My site is 3 months old and gets decent chunk of traffic from google and msn, not from yahoo though.
