I'm curious to know the thoughts of anyone who would like to share on a site that gets 200,000+ uniques, 300,000 visits, and 2.2MM pageviews per month. The site is not currently being monetized in any way, but could easily be sold to advertisers based on it's mainstream content. It is also a PR6, very branded domain. Without giving out the specific site, how much value would you put on that level of traffic? Thanks.
the value will depend not only on traffic levels but also on how long surfers stay on site and where the traffic is coming from,, if its all search engine traffic then thats good
Your site's value is based on what someone will pay for it. It's that simple. Maybe try a feeler ad or two? At the end of the day, a site with no profit potential because its 100,000 visit-a-day user base is kids 13-15 from Ethiopia (no comments, please) is worth less than a 10,000 visit-a-day site on car loans. What you might consider doing to get a rough guess is look at other sites that sold with similar themes at similar traffic levels within the past few months, similar to real estate comps. Just an idea. You're never going to know until you've cashed the check.
