How would you use 1000 dollars to start a business?

A similar thread to the 100 dollar startup question.

I have a little over a thousand to spare for starting a new business. I have www.oneironpro.com, but my design skills are not the best. It's not a site for making a substantial amount of money. Anybody have any ideas?

I'm not looking for milliondollarhomepage ideas, just things like buing seo software, getting my site designed, etc.

    Thanks for input.

What is your site going to be about? from the name in your sig I'm guessing its a golf related site (mix business and pleasure - I like it!) But what are you going to target? Golf reviews, course reviews? tips? are you planning to make money from adsense?

I assume you are making money from publishing and not e-commerce. If that is the case then I would suggest starting about 10 sites. Get adsense running on them, maybe sign up for commission junction or link share. Setup a blog and start driving seo traffic to them. Setup an amazon bookstore on apropriate ones. Setup forums.

Then you can sign up to the co-op or link vault.

Here are things that money will help with:
    Link building
    Directory Submission
    Forum Posting
    Article Writing
Design(?) I don't think this directally plays into profits as much, assuming your handmade designs are tasteful.

I would invest the $1,000 into beer and pizza to feed myself while I built one really good web site.

    LOL

Things I've heard are good investments are Brad Callen's SEO Elite and Aaron Wall's SEO book.

If you are going to be selling stuff direct from your site (not publishing) you should probably spend the most of that money on Adwords. If not, consider the two SEO items above, and maybe buy some good links with the rest of the money.

    Really a Good question....

If you are joking, I would invest in agriculture ;) to cultivate some banana's like the one you find in my avatar !!

And if you are serious, I would just invest in some of the best ventures around like this one http://earnmoney.visitscounter.com

Afterall i will be making $10 a day.

You have already upgraded to level $110

And for every referral upgrades you make, you will get 10%.

If you refer somebody who upgrades to $100, your level increases by $10

And if refer somebody who upgrades to $10000, your level increases by $1000

    Its that simple,

I'm not sure how these hit revenue sites can pay all the members.

Anyway, I'll use my $1000 buying a running web site, and earn by placing advertisments on the site.

Since you are not a skilled designer, if I were you I'd one of two things. I purchase a ready made template or higher a web designer. There are quite a few here a digital point. That shouldn't put a dent into a thousand bucks. I would also buy some seo software. I would buy Seo Elite, Arelis etc. I would also purchase a full year subscription to Word Tracker.

    Mmmmm....1000 dollars...mmm...

For that money I could build a site, hire a specialist designer to built certain pages, submit it to specific sites (including paid ones), and then wait 60 days. By the end of the 60 days I'll have about $5000.

Was that vague enough? lol. The above is one of the ways I make really good cash, but I can't give the details sorry.

Well the thread question is how you'd spend $1000 to startup and that is what I'd do, I'm just not giving details.
