How would you sell phone numbers? (need Joomla expert)

    Hi all,
On one site I collect requests from people looking for privates lessons.
On another site (using Joomla) I want to publish these requests and offer teachers to buy the phone number so that they may get in touch with the people seeking private lessons.
How can I sell and deliver these phone numbers in the most simple and efficient manner?
Ideally, the teacher would click a button in the lesson request, pay, and then immediately be taken to a page displaying the phone number or receive it by email.
Given that I have to make sure the number can only be sold once, am I going to need a shopping cart script (like virtuemart)? Is there a simpler/smarter approach?

Thanks a lot for your advice!

Wordpress lol, it's more or less a big fantastic CMS with ease of access and ridiculous amounts of shopping cart plugins in their directory.

    it's worth checking out.

I'd first check that it's legal to obtain (with the customer's explicit knowledge of and consent with your intentions), store and then sell phone numbers in your territory. It's likely that you'll need to comply with strict data protection laws otherwise you could end up on the wrong side of the law.

    Than you for your answer.
Yes I'd personally much rather use Wordpress, but I want to use a social component only available with Joomla (Jomsocial). There's Buddypress but it doesn't look as professional.
(PS are there that many functionning carts for Wordpress now? Wasn't so just like 2 years ago, I'll have to check it out)

@Lever yes you're perfectly right. I've checked that already.
What I mean is that it could be just an email, whatever, the problem's the same. How do I solve it most efficiently.

So the teacher sees a lesson request, they confirm they want to purchase it, pay, then recieve the number?

i'm sure you could set this up using joomla and virtuemart. and enable downloads. this would allow you to sell downloadable goods (the phone numbers)

Yes I'm going to try out Virtuemart.
I'm also looking at Wordpress solutions now since Buddypress seems to have improved a lot.

Do you know if it possible with Virtuemart to have a category menu with subcategories and the number of items displayed in parentheses?
    Like:
    Language lessons (15)
    Spanish lessons (9)
    French lessons (6)

I asked on the Virtumart forum but haven't gotten an answer in 2 days...
