I recently registered to CJ and I was wondering how you could possibly advertise sucessfully those kind of products. What kind of setup would you use, would adword be any useful, is godaddy already too much known to make any profit out of it?
i was in the same position while ago. It left it as I was new to domain selling business with so hard competition.
They do not have any limitations on TOS but has this limitation on his advertiser page: You cannot drive traffic to Godaddy.com using AdWords but it is something contraditory as the TOS do not say nothing about this.
"Trademarks We do not allow any search engine bidding on trademark and brand terms. All misspellings and variations are also restricted. The use of GoDaddy.com in the display URL of search listings is prohibited." This means you cannot bid on keywords like "godaddy". You can use adwords if you bid on other keywords like, "register domain". I bet the competition is VERY tough for something like that though.
No, you can't You can not drive using adwords to goddady.com, read the last line: If you put another thing like abc.com in display url you will violate AdWords TOS and your ad will be disapproved. You can only drive traffic to your own site that has the affiliate links.
Well, the actual question of this post is to know what kind of strategy you'd use to drive traffic to your website and make them by this product and not someone else's product.
Since you cannot use trademarker names you would simply drive traffic to your site using kewywords associated with domains selling. Use the keyword tool on overture or keyword tracker to find keywords. If you are using organic as a means to drive traffic, then i would advise building your content pages specific to the guidlines in the diff engines. I am sure you already know this.
