The Huffington Post has written a post about how, by this time next year, 10 brands will no longer exist. The list of brands includes BP, Blockbuster and Readers Digest. We wrote a post on our blog giving 15 ways those companies could be turned around. I thought I would open it up to your genius too. How would you save Blockbuster from bankrupcy? We suggested a few things, including offering online downloads etc. What would you do if you were in charge of Blockbuster?
Well i don't see the point of these business sticking around for the future, everything will get robed via internet, the only way to stop this is to come up with a law to punish those downloading and uploading movies, songs, etc.
Blockbuster seems to be pretty much beyond hope at this point. They could potentially turn around by developing partnerships (like what Netflix has already done that allows them to stream to Xbox live) which would allow users to find movies to watch whenever they want with ease in their homes. If Blockbuster is able to secure the newest releases before their competitors to include in their instant viewing selections they may have a chance to compete but it doesn't look likely.
F**CK BP They ruined the gulf of mexico, but their bankruptcy will still be bad for the business world. The gulf oil gusher will be catastrophic over time.
