    Say you had the same word in each of these extentions. How would you rank these extentions in order of price from highest to lowest. Obviously .com is the most valuable, would this order be correct?

    com
    net
    org
    de
    co.uk
    eu
    us

    com, net, org, .co.uk, .us, .eu, .de

    In the near future, I think .eu will be in 4th and .us before .co.uk.

    I agree with most of the posts on the order, but I think depending on the actual name the .info and .org can be adjusted up or down if the name suits the extension.

    eu is definitely much more valuable than you guys think. European governments even urge those foundations to use eu. So in terms of value, eu is definitely much better. But yeah, not yet reached its top. I would rank them as follows:

    com
    org
    net
    eu
    us
    co.uk
    de

    here are some things I think everyone can agree on:
    .com is best;
    .net is pretty good ;
    .org has been around for a long time so has some value as well;
    .info early days, but seems to be holding steady in value.

    country extensions are great for targeting country-specific users, but not so good outside that country.
    The exception is
    .co.uk, which has a lot of big "international" sites, and these sites have boosted the reputation of this extension;
    of the other country extentions, .us is the best.
    .eu different opinions on this new extension, but it has to be worth something due to the size and importance of the european market.

    .com
    .net
    .org
    .co.uk
    .us
    .eu
    .de

    The top 3 are obvious...the rest...well...it can be argued, but I'd have to say .co.uk holds a higher standing than .us just because .com is the common US name anyways. You notice this on many international corp websites. They have a UK site (.co.uk), they have a Canadian one (.ca), etc, but the UNITED STATES one is .com. .co.uk is used more for bigger corporations that .us. I am Canadian, and I knew about .co.uk long before I even realized .us existed....so that's a thought... The others not sure, but I'd say .eu is more worldly renowned than .de.

    Hope this helps :)

    The competition between .net and .org is also debatable. To me, .org is better and is much more respectable than .net

    Yup, you can definitely add .ca to the list, for .ca is a big player too, but I don't think it would be right to rank .ca above .eu., Europe having much more population and Internet existence than Canada.
