Personally, I would be happy if he got 25 years in prison for what he did to those dogs. At the same time, how can people judge Vick so harshly when they are eating meat? Nike cancelled his contract because they want to publicly say how they do not agree with animal cruelty. Yet Nike makes shoes out of leather causing the suffering and death of cows. Animal cruelty is so prevalent in our society, I wish more people would go vegan.
yes but using animal products is a lifestyle choice..and im not convinced that eating no meat is healthy for you..though i do disapprove of mass farming and the suffering that those animals are put through
So hurting, killing and skinning cows is simply a lifestyle choice? Yet hurting and killing dogs is a crime? What is really the difference? If you are not convinced of that, I would research it. The vegetarian diet is actually very healthy. So, it is ok to kill them as long as we do it in a nice way?
Killing animals for entertainment purposes is an entirely different subject than for nutritional purposes. I might kill an intruder in my home if I felt it was necessary for my families safety but going out and killing a person for the fun of it is different. Those are apples and oranges issues. No comparison. Having said that I think Vegan is great if one can do that.
Thanks TWalker. I invite anyone with an interest in becoming vegan or with questions about veganism to send me a pm. If I don't know, I will find out for you. I have been a vegetarian all my life and have boycotted fur and leather for years. A few weeks ago I was reading about the suffering in egg and dairy farms and decided to become a vegan. It was a very easy transition and I would be happy to help anyone learn more about it.
@rebecca i respect your point of view, but people have to eat, and meat is a major source of protein in most people's diet..even if you don't eat meat because you feel that its cruel, you still probably use animal products or things that you don't even realize are animal products. Should we not drive cars because animals are killed as a result of our use of fossil fuels, or should we decide what is really more important. Killing animals for sport is wrong, but killing animals for the greater benefit to humans is acceptable, IMO.
I agree mark, on that same note I think we should be respectful as possible to the animals. Still, I believe many of them were put on earth to be eaten, but not abused.
lock him up and throw away the key, that or stone him to death in public - or even tie him up and set 10 dogs on him who havebt eaten for 2 days
