Let's say you are given a task on promoting an affiliate product (MyFax), How would you do it? Let's not bother about the competition and put it in a scenario where it is promote MyFax and live or not do anything about it and die. First what i would do is, create a simple page using blogger with a message saying "cut your fax service cost by half and be able to check any incoming fax anywhere as long as you're connected to the internet" I would also provide a little detail on how myFax works and that how any business who is using fax can benefit from it. Followed by an affiliate link to MyFax at the end. Once the page is set up. I'm thinking prepare a short and sweet marketing message for regular fax users telling them how they can reduce their faxing cost and how they can be on the go and still send and receive faxes and have a link pointing to the simple page i created. Message will be in hard copy and soft copy. Next thing i would do is look for businesses in business directories, yellowpages etc and approach them by email in a ethical manner and referring them to my blog upon their approval. I would also post short ads in classifieds (web or print) in relevant category and section. and I would write a few business articles on how to minimize cost of operation in general and submit them to TOP article directories. Do You Think It Would Work? Please share if you have a better idea.
Supposing I have this kind of product right now, I'll buy paid reviews from tech bloggers, I'll plug this one to businessmen's forums and I'll promote this kind of product to yellow pages as well. And if I have extra money to spend I'll push my product via our local dailies.
