I have an adult related site kind of like adult friend finder and I was wondering how one would get the women to sign up for it? Where you post/promote it and how? Getting guys is the easy part, i need the women to sign up. Its not live yet as im still working on some things but just figured I would rack everyones brains to figure out how to do this? Thanks!!
That's going to be an up-hill battle, because the reason why guys hook up with Adult Frend finder, is simply because they're guys... They get addicted to the Adult community. Women in my view are not like that.
I would start by promoting this on Social Networks like MySpace and FaceBook - there's plenty of people there that are promoting their own Social Networks and have a good deal of success getting new members. You'll have more luck with MySpace contrary to what others will tell you - if you use the friend adder sites - you can reach xx,xxx users in a few months time - if you put a little effort in to it Hope this helps - If not maybe someone else can offer some other ways to promote a new Social Network Strontium brings up several good points too - retention is the hard part Good Luck!!
Go to facebook and myspace and all the communities out there add lot of friends take part in discussions there and send them your site link Write some article/link bait like 5 sure ways to attract men or women (use pics in it) submit it on social book mark and you are done with good traffic you may hire someone to write that article for you. there are lot of good seo's in this forum
Those are some great idea, thanks greenie left. I like the link bait title ways. Very catchy. I appreciate it. Anyone else with great ideas?
Be smart. Create 20-30 fakes ids of female. It will work..Men sign up and ofcourse romantic women will also join too.
I would rather not deceive people to join. I know that was a big issue with aff. But thanks for the suggestion
No offense to the guys as some of you in the thread already know and have stated this: Women are not your target here, men are. Get in this mindset first then think about how your going to promote it because your game plan is going to have to be altered. As someone suggested create some bots. Oldest trick in the book and probably the only way to make money if it is a paid site. Women are less willing to pay for dating sites that are not adult oriented as it is. I can only guess there is even a lower number of women who would sign up at all for free much less pay for it. So all your money and traffic is going to come from men. This is the basis for niche and building a site around the demand. If there is no demand you can't force one. If you do not want to deceive people don't have a dating site. Sorry that's a fact. Competition and making money obviously CAN be ethical but generally it is not. Marketing certainly can have a very dark and dismal side.
No offense, but I think your wrong... I have seen a ton of real women on aff that actually do pay, i know this because I have friends that use that site and hook up with girls all the time. So to say girls arent a target, yes they are. Every girl in my opinion has a bad side, that just needs an outlet, and my site is the perfect outlet. Right now my site will be totally free, just for fun for me, and to promote other sites of mine once i get members. Men are easy to get, thats why i wanted to get "real" women to at least hear of the site first, not really join, but just hear of it.... But thanks for your opinions. I am just wondering where aff got the women they did....
How do you know your friends aren't just a rare batch? You have to look at statistcs... You cannot judge by what you hear in person.
Not only my friends. Go check it out yourself. You can sign up and look at people onlines webcams. (that part is free) At any givin time there is about 2000 women on. Also there are tons of couples on and its mostly the women that are on. They cant all be bot cams with real people that will wave to you..haha
That's a good point, but i'm still not convinced... Do you have any charts, statistics or any kind of documentation? I ask not because I disagree with you, but because I take interest in this topic and such readouts may provide some clues for a possible project.
Nope I dont have any charts. I have seen a chart a few years back about it, when all the stuff went down about them faking accounts and emailing members with fake accounts to get people to pay for the service so they can read the emails. But since I cant find it. There are tons of statistics online about women and porn... http://www.safefamilies.org/sfStats.php Statistics on Women with Pornography Addiction 28% those admitting to sexual addiction are women (internet-filter-review.com). 34% of female readers of Today's Christian Woman's online newsletter admitted to intentionally accessing Internet porn in a recent poll and 1 out of every 6 women, including Christians, struggles with an addiction to pornography (Today’s Christian Woman, Fall 2003). Thats a few right there....so im sure they would love a site like aff or mine...
