How would you promote a new startup?

We've recently launched a new startup (a platform to create online promos, on Twitter , Facebook and on your own site), so far we've done several things to promote ir (SEO, Twitter and Facebook marketing, startup sites submission..

what else do you think we should try?

Have you tried contacting PR agencies? Or getting a hold of someone who can publish some news about your site?

 

Generally I use only social bookmarking and article websites to bring huge traffic

 

Unfortunately, our promo budget is quite low. We prfer to do ourselves as much as possible

 

you can get good paid to click traffic from certain ptc sites.

or else try traffic exchanges like easyhits4u

 

Get a press release out too.

You can also try doing guest blogs or do press releases. These two are also helpful in promoting your website.

Try utilizing Youtube and for your social networking you cant beat Hootsuite for fast, multi network posting I love this tool and it sure makes things easy and quick
