How Would You Promote A New Blog Or Website?

Wow! This thread has some really good ideas. Social bookmarking. FAcebook. Blog link on popular forums. Articles. Press Releases. Blog rolling. Content aggregators. Site maps. Stumbleupon. You could print this post and use it as a template for anyone to promote a new blog. I have learned heaps! Thank you ladies and gentlemen!

 

Perhaps you could also add some ideas? In fact, all of the tips are pretty much logical and obvious, but there's the current need for brand-new ideas, I mean, the freshest of them, which haven't been used before

 

by submitting articles and blogs...

 

Great thinking. Yes we actually need ideas which are fresh, but who knows if they were used or not.

What do you think about Promotion using viral contents, like posting a quality article and promoting the same to selected social sites like Sphinn and others?

 

Although many of us stick to the point that writing and promoting viral content arcticles or something like that is one of the "black-hat" strategies, but my personal attitude is that it might be working well, without any doubt. Sphinn in this case might work as a great idea, but one should surf for more similar sites to use.

Of course, viral contents aren't new, but many of us forget about this online marketing method, unfortunately.

 

Agree with you, I saw many examples where info-graphics, videos, articles, leaks goes viral. A viral content may be any of these, here is one example of real quality info-graphics fram Mashable They are so.. simple and straight to point.

Write a fascinating, original article and then comment on related blogs with an equally fascinating comment and drive traffic back to your own blog with either a link in the comment itself or a link in your name.

The key is that your article and comment needs to be excellent, insightful and will gain popular support.

 

Hi,I know social media sites are a good way of advertising. I like to use articles and forums. The forums are good if you are promoting them every day in at less 5 top forums. People get to know you and see your info on a regular basis they naturally want to see more. The articles are a great way to advertise and promote because you can take advantage of adwords/keywords. This approach can land your information in all of the top search engines. Last, you have twitter and Facebook bots that you program and they post for you on a schedule you have set up. For New Sites I do Search Engine Submission , Then Social Bookmarking , Directory Submission Then I search What is the My Websites Positions in Google , Bing , yahoo SERP . Then i post quality Article and Blog for My Sites . After all i participate in forums .

First you complete on-page optimization of your website than share your website all social network and than start working off-page optimization.

 

I would prefer some high PR directory submission at 1st. then i would go for article marketing. these are the best.

Quality over quantity. Spend some time into submitting quality articles to highly populated websites, but make sure it's relevant!

 

Thanks for emphasizing the essentiality of content relevance. Even if your articles are great, but irrelevant, you won't succeed.

 

I would try and get some traffic to it by traffic spammer. I would ask friends and family to help me spread the word about my website. You can also promote your website on forums such as these. You can also write about popular topics out right now. For example Black Friday and get some friends to give it a Plus +1 and that should get your website up when people search certain topics on Google.
