If you had a new blog or website, apart from submitting to the search engines, what is the quickest way to get traffic in a way that Google likes?

 

Guest posting May be...Writing articles on high page rank websites that established lots of traffic can help you getting instant traffic ..

 

Article submission and blog comment, that would work. Also you can go to yahoo answers, answer and their question and put your link as source. This would give you some quick traffic.

 

well i will do forum posting and add on facebook.As i know that facebook colects lots of traffic so we can say that advertising on Socal Network is the better option to collect the traffic.

 

I used to do Yahoo answers, but they banned me! I was adding links where people could find help, they were not my links, just other peoples links that provided the correct information that they were looking for!

 

I would say article marketing, youtube videos, and social bookmarking, so far it has worked for me in generating traffic and getting higher rankings, best of luck!

 

Guest posting is a great way to get some quality backlinks. Try to get a guest post on some high PR blog and that should be a good step forward. Another way is to submit your articles to the social networks and try to get them viral which will drive a lot of traffic to your site. But you will really need some good quality articles for them to get viral.

Careful SEO, unique content, article & post submission to other sites, perhaps, promoting your site/blog in forums. You should try all techniques together to achieve better results, of course)

 

For organic traffic from search engine, you have to get the #1 in SERP i think.
You can do this by building high quality links to your site. The techniques are:
1. blogposts (contextual links)
2. text links (often mentioned as one way text links)
3. blog commenting
4. forum profile and forum poster

They are most used technique to off page optimization.

But the main thing is here: the content. Make sure your content is unique, and seo on page optimized (i think a lot of threads explain this thing, you can just browse it)

Social Media is great right now. but don't just do 1 thing, get many different things going.

First of all i wouldn't submit it to the search engines. This is never a good thing to do. Having back links pointing to your site through article marketing, blog commenting, etc, is the better way to have Google find out that your site exists. If you force feed it to them, it simply looks like you are trying to push a site that already isn't popular.

 

I disagree. When building a new site you want to submit the site, a sitemap and verification to Google, Yahoo and Bing.
