http://www.rawathletics.com This site seems difficult to optimize for a couple of reasons: No real chance to consistently update content No related forums or blogs to contribute to No real places to exchange links So my question is, how would you optimize this site? What would your checklist look like? (Good responses could lead to future paid work) Thanks!
I think a good first idea would be article marketing. Write some articles about health and wellness and sports on sites such as ezinearticles.com and you can place your link in the bio section. This is something that can get you a bunch of high quality backlinks. I'd be reluctant to engage in social networking, it would be tough to get people to want to connect to this kind of product on Facebook or Twitter and it would be tough to keep their attention. You state your mission is to provide natural and environmentally-friendly products to sports teams. Could you expand the site to include a blog with posts relating to health and wellness in sports to keep the search engines coming back? Maybe you could get the universities that support your products to place a link somewhere? Obviously not going to get the front page of the athletics website but maybe they'd put it in on a page where they talk about their sports equipment? Not sure if that is a good idea, but if it works the links would be very high quality. Maybe you could link exchange with other sites that offer sports equipment that don't compete with you? I'm sure there would be other quality companies looking for some incoming links and it would be pretty relevant. Anyway, that's all I have off the top of my head. If I think of anything else I'll write back.

I'm working on getting some PR with the universities that are supporting me. The problem with actual link exchanges, I really have no where to place links on this site. Plus, I think that would just look tacky and unprofessional for a site like this. I've been considering a blog and article directories, but I feel those could take a lot of time to maintain, time which would take away from other sales activities. How's the on page SEO? Any improvement you think could be made?
incoming links from gym related sites and reatilers that u have persuaded to stock your product, how about giving free product to major retailers just so they list it and link to your product info page
I would also suggest changing your link anchor text from "Natural Sports Equipment Cleaning & Deodorizing Spray || Raw Athletics" to something more search relevant "gym equipment cleaner" etc however looking at seobook keyword suggestor it doesn't appear anyone is searching for what u r selling. perhaps direct selling to gyms, used gym equipment sellers etc would be a better use of your time. btw you now have at least one incoming link from my site
Thanks for the sig change tip. Done. I am actually getting a decent amount of traffic from Google, I just need to ramp it up a little more. Right now it's just a guess-and-check game between small SEO changes and checking google analytics
Firstly do keyword research for the site than kindly incurred those keywords on the site and after that move to off page which includes article submission, directory submission and forum posting.
