Here is my problem and what I'm doing to solve it.... I have a video website that use a script like youtube, but the is in the pop music niche . My concern has always been will I be able to market it like a regular website that has pages that can be seo'd. I upload a lot of videos everyday in the form of the embed code to save on bandwidth so it isn't like people can share the videos and give me a backlink. So, right now I am posting my link in sigs in forms and commenting on blogs. I am also submitting the link to dofollow social bookmarking sites. Is there anything else i could be doing to market this site online?
You can do a lot of traffic damage by writing articles and submitting them to article sites. You could write about the different groups or other music related topics. You'll get direct links from readers and as other blogs pick up your articles your links will spread around the web.
