Ok I am making a site similar to squidoo/hubpages where users create information "pads."

I'm thinking about how to pay out the creators, which you rather have:

    A) $0-$1 based on quality of "pad" that the user creates + 40-50% (haven't decided exactly how much) of adsense revenue that your site generates + 10% referral bonus

    B) Generate 40-50% of any money your site receives, so you make money off adsense, CJ (possibly), Amazon Module (possibly), Ebay Module (possibly). (Possibly because I have to get approval from them first to share revenue). + 10% referral bonus.

Difference between the two is obviously that one of them basically guarantees money for you at the beginning as long as you write a good "pad," and you can keep making money from google adsense.

The other one gives more opportunities to earn money as long as your "pad" is made for more for selling.

Please vote and let me know which sounds better. If you want to check out my site (which is like still 2 weeks from completing the complete overhaul, that I paid someone for.) it is the 1st link at the bottom.
    Example pad: http://padcraze.com/viewpad.php?padid=18

I think you would attract more people if you did option A. As you stated, you're guaranteed at least SOME money, and people are impatient and would want any money immediately.

You're absolutely right about that... I've encountered people who expect everything from nothing...

Quite recently, a Publisher got himself banned from my network for cursing in his emails when he saw a lack of results, then sending a death threat upon not getting the reply he had hoped for... The whole time, he never acknowledged that his site was providing only a fraction of ad impressions that was required to receive a payout.

When you run a business and talk about money, you'll encounter such people... It's unavoidable, so it's best not to be taken down by it & prepare for the next one by remembering your previous encounter.

Ok what if a 3rd option is added:

C: I give 60-70% of Adsense revenue, but nothing else. This way people get more guaranteed money and faster because never is Adsense money pending. Also this way I don't have to judge quality of their "pads" and get people mad if I don't think their "pad" is up to my standards. (Still referral stuff is there [10%])

    What do you guys think?
