Currently i have a directory project in hand .. THinking of bringing it up to pr5
.. And there comes the fee .. I would like some advices here .. If you are going to pay for inclusion, would you pay a one-time large amount or monthly small amount like $2/3 ?

maybe a one-time "reasonable" amount... not a LARGE amount.

    i don't like monthly.

    good luck,

One time fee or yearly fee if the directory is of great quality.
    I don't like monthly either.

I don't think most people want any extra admin involved with a monthly fee, no matter how little there is.

    I wouldn't pay 1 cent.

Hundreds of free directories out there.

That's kind of you to offer it at a discount ashiezai, but realistically you should offer it for free to the forum to get it going.

I'd be surprised if anyone would pay a one-time large fee for an empty directory, when there are plenty of free directories out there.

I'm not convinced these links are worth paying for, I'm in so many directories, many have PR4 or more, but the PR seems almost worthless.

    Good luck anyway.

1 time reasonable about $25 per url or yearly small like $10 per url would be ok anlso you can have free listings with link back as an idea

Depends on what you do with the directory. If it gets spidered often and has a good amount of backlinks $25-$40 isn't too bad.

thx every1 for the feedback .. hoping to get a pr5-6 in the update .. the directory is fully indexed by google within a week :) i think i'll accept a one-time fee $15 for DP members (if the pr goes up to 5/6 .. it has several pr5/6 site wide pointing to it ;) )

One time fees are far better and I would go for a $5 fee over a recipt link anyday.

I think $10 is a reasonable one time fee for a PR 5/6 directory. It's quite easy to create a PR 6 directory.

I don't really understand why would someone pay to be included in a directory, when you can be included in google for free!

Is this a new domain or an old one that you are converting to a directory?

When I look at paid directories, I like to see a PR4 or better on the page my listing will appear on, and of course static urls with a reasonable description length (200 -250 chars).

Yahoo is over priced, but some are well worth it.
