i would invest it in the internet. in new projects and new ideas.
neither on a bank nor on the stock / forex market you can make such a great ROI as on the net with that risk factor.okay on the forex market you can make fast money but you can also loose fast money.on the net you have to be really stupid to loose money.

 

i would buy stocks in yahoo

 

diversification should be good,
if you have $50,000
1. invest in the stock, forex, futures about $20,000
2. invest on a developed country, buy some house, hold it for one or three month, and then lease the house
3. save some money for surprises (~$2000) -- High Risk Investment, ONLINE CASINO, etc..

E-Commerce niche website. The trend of more people shopping online is strong. Find something that has a healthy profit margin and can be dropped shipped so you don't have to handle product.

I'd buy gold, silver, land and guns (if you live in the US in preparation for the great great depression that is coming).. Or get into electricity production in the form alternative energies.. Would not recommend solar.. However you can achieve a reasonable ROI < 12 months from a perfected hydro or wind power setup..

 

Hire 10 - 20 webmasters to build a large web project in order to shoot up to big 1,000 web which based to Alexa.com.
