How Would You Get The Word Out On Your Site

Hi,

I just finished my forum it is a basic webmaster forum and i know there is huge competition in this field so i came up with something unique.

The forum offers rewards for being a member.

My problem is getting the word out i have done seo and link building but i need to get the traffic coming in while i wait for the search engines to come into play.

How would you advertise it only free methods please.

Well, I guess I'll bite: what is it you are offering webmasters? After all, this is a forum for webmasters, so we are your prime potential audience. I'd make sure to only offer something to people once they've made say ten posts. Only rewarding signing up is not going to get you active forum threads.

 

I reward the members for highest posts in a week a month and also the biggest referrers.

It is quite simple rewards but it is just a better incentive also i will soon be offers text link for all members.

I just don't know how to go about getting those few members who will spread the word sort of speak.

 

If you have room for one more word in your signature, make it 'website'. As in 'check my website forum'.
Other than that, getting a forum to be active is a lot of work.

Very clean design. Basically put it in your site, and sign up for a lot of webmaster forums. Sig traffic has been proven to be quality!

 

I think i will add the point of the rewards more to my site so it is visible to visitors hopefully improving sign up ratio.
