How would you get more submissions to a PR7 directory?

i would actually suggest not to do anything, just hide somewhere.

 

Open up a post in the dir section, ask for directories and other bidding dirs. Submit to them, get blogged reviews for the same. Buy signatures of members who are max at the dir section.

Thus you there by get more attention.

 

Keep doing what you did to get the PR7.

To the OP, unfortunately im in no position to advise what else you may be able to do to further promote your directory, ive seen some suggestions from others here.

A little tip though, and i hope you dont take it the wrong way, be very very careful about talking of high pr here, guys already trying to warn you are not the ones doing any damage, their not wanting to see another pr stripping.

Not quite, from what i notice you dont post in this section often? i think your misunderstanding what is friendly advice.

Why close the thread that you were eager to start ?, anyway as many have said your getting freindly fire, what you have is a dropped domain on PR7 and guessing nothing to do with it's current format, your highest bidder is a casino and other than that most catagories are empty.

Trying to flog it as PR7 is a near disaster, and i hope you do not advertise it as PR7 come and pay your $ as london to a brick that rating is going to drop.

Just ask your self for what it is now would you rate it that high ? there is nothing outstanding nor special about that site, best option is never worry about PR. wish you well moving forward.

Advertising rules remain same whether its a directory or any other site.

Just target the specific audience.

Get
- banner ads
- text ads
- blogposts
- avatar/sig

On webmaster forums, blogs, and sites.

(this one i observed in case of dirjournal-a Pr-7 directory)

You must advertise saying it as PR-7 directory,People should know that it is a Pr-7 directory,Then they will be mad about getting a submission into your directory
