How would you do this?

When you are developing a new idea, what do you do? I am in the process of building a new site and I want to know if its ok to go to other forums where these types of people would be to see what they would want/not want..

How would you go about getting ideas about what people want?

 

if it is something that has been done before, it helps to take a look at competitor sites

 

That's the bad thing, this has never been done. I have searched everywhere and anywhere.

 

I am having the same problem you are having. The one thing I have found out this is not the place (for me) to talk about it nor seek suggestions. Personally, I am resorting to going to other site it would effect and asking them for input.

I'm finding out on forums like this that there are a few people who can think out of the box and way too many that are closed minded.

 

I could help you but you would have to explain more but yes its a good idea to check your competitors.

 

Pay the forum to 'sticky' a thread with a poll about your ideas/products/services.
