Ok, i want to invest $100 this week into marketing my website,
previously was invested into 1,000 directory submissions PR2-PR8.

    Should I:

Invest a lil bit more into submissions.

    Buy PR5+ links on DP.

Use ad words vouchers to advertise.

    buy banner spots on forums.

    buy blog posts.

    what goes first?

    "Buy PR5+ links on DP."

Buying links is over rated, and rarely work. Why don't you just put gravy on your money and feed it to your dog?

"Use ad words vouchers to advertise."

It's a start, but why not use use Google to place your ads in other sites?

    "buy banner spots on forums."

There are not enough visitors to message boards. to n

    "buy blog posts."

    No way!!

Start off with doing free promotion, using Google to advertise for you in other sites, and advertising in as many search engines as you can.

Save it, formulate a solid business plan, and then put the money to action.

I would invest it in having some really good articles written and distribute them to the popular article directories. Maybe a press release?

Here is what you should do with just $100:

    1. Come up with an idea for a small but fun goodie / widget / flash game.

    2. Hire a programmer from India for $3 an hour. Make sure your idea can be done within 20 hours. Thats $60 for the goodie.

    3. Use $40 to seed the goodie via PPC.

    4. Contact bloggers and ezine publishers and ask them to check your goodie out.

Promote a linkworthy goodie. And let the goodie promote you.

I followed this formula and came up with the "Buy Me a Beer" WordPress plugin.

If you can't think of a goodie, hire a writer to write a "Top 50" post for you. This won't work as well as a goodie will. But its still a good idea.

    akesh,

I'm interested in developing a few plugins for wordpress and/or facebook. Do you have any contacts in india you could refer me to for programming?

I've heard horror stories and would love to explore a few options outside of my immediate network

    thx

send me a pm if you have the chance.

I would do a little bit of everything that you said.
Check out my blog, and there is an article written and it has links to PPC vouchers and free credit.

Try CanepMedia.com for your banner ads, and I would def. buy some blog posts here on DP.

Wouldn't pay anyone to do any submissions for you, as its pretty easy to do yourself.

Would recommend invest in the email advertising site. Where the price is cheap and provides targeted audience. ROI will be in about 5% - 30%
