How would search engines treat such a site?

If there's a site/blog which does not have many pages, rather very little as much 4-5 and has over 1000 backlinks. What treatment will such a site receive from the search engines.
Suppose its a site on "Learning French", will it show in the results for that keyword.

Of course it would get value from search engines but it depends more on the following scenarios:

    1. If a website with 4-5 pages has 1000 backlinks and they are relevant and quality links, then the site will receive maximum value from search engines. BUT if the links are not relevant nor qualitative, then consider less value and effects on SERPs.

    2. It is also important to check the age of backlinks and the age of site that are linking to your site. New sites doesn't have that much impact on SERPs but if the strategy is right, results can be seen sooner.

    3. If all 1000 backlinks are created using black hat techniques or irrelevant link exchanges, then there might be no value nor any effect on the ranking.

    Hope this would help.
