I am in the middle of building a site in which I will research one product a day and give a review on it. The product will be related to a specific niche but now I want to know how would I market this type of review site? join online communities related to your site then advertise it there. you could also advertise it to free classified sites like craiglist.
I will keep the online community idea in my head since I already have spoke to a couple folks with the same niche sites and they said they would give me free promotions when the site is ready. The idea of craigslist is out due to I can not seem to gain traffic to sites with it. If I decided to sell real objects such as cars then craigslist is the place to do it.
hmm.. ok.. why don't you try using social bookmarking site to promote your product. just place something interesting and people will start clicking and eventually it will convert into profit.
Go to forums where the products may be discussed and cite your review as a source. It's a pretty basic tactic to help market a site.
