A Free Online Martial Arts community? (Articles/Reviews/Interviews, Videos, Forums etc)

Because I've never been good at marketing so any advice would be great-- especially in this niche since it's a more...unique one.

Just to help you out with your advice a few points
    1. There aren't MANY similar sites, and the ones that are usually have something that aint good.
    2. I don't have TOO much money to spend on marketing
    3. It's also pretty new and pretty small

Generalized tips would be great too :)
    Thanks in advance

I would go with article marketing as your initial marketing effort. Just write a few articles (or have some one write them for you) and submit them to article directories.

It is free, and usually gets instant traffic. I have a couple of sites where all I do is article marketing, but then again I am really good at it :D

Use a blog for that market and post comments about the latest UFC fights and popular matches. Best source of traffic for you in my opinion.

Articles are the best way to promote traffic for free. I know you must think "How do i write about martial arts?".
You should just read a couple articles about martial arts, there are some, and write about what you read. Give some tips and hints. Maybe you could create an exercise routine and publish it. All these things are easy and free but everything requires work. Also, you could use social bookmarking but the results for a martial arts site seem that it may be minimal, but every bit helps.

    Regards,
    Tim L.

Blog and social bookmarking. Articles will help too. If you can join other martial arts forums and place your site in your signature that will slowly bring traffic over.

Dude, you are on a field that involves a step-by-step tutorial. This means that you are on a niche which video marketing would do great for you. In this niche, people would prefer learning from videos rather than from text.

Try creating some martial arts related video. If you are able to come up with a series, you can have your own product and start marketing it. YouTube can be a great place to put up your teaser video (short video) and a text at the end like "Want More? Proceed to XXX.com to buy it!"

I hope my statement above is able to help you out in some way.
