Hey all, First of all, I hope this is the right forum for the question ... it seemed so ... I am wondering how sites / blogs determine the price (monthly or weekly) for an ad wich is placed on their site. I have heard about prices ranging from $150 up to $1250 ... But what are the criteria wich are involved (except ofcourse the usual visitor count..).. Grts.. -FOP-
You have to study a bit.. There is a link price calculator on Text-Link-ads.com Also you can browse link sales section on digitalpoint forum http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58
In my experience it will always depend on the position and the number of UNIQUE visitors you get each day.
Usual metrics are: - PR of the page - subject of the page - amount of visitors - age of the site To get 150 dollars a month for one link you need a high quality, high pr, high visitor-number site.
you can try this out http://www.text-link-ads.com/link_calculator.php it quotes a high price .. atleast for me it did quote a high price, more than double of what i was asking for a link sale.
The problem with the textlinkads calculator is that it doesnt take into consideration the amount of traffic of your website - all it looks at is PR, no. of ads on your page, and placement of the ad.
