If I were to contact Google asking if there are fraudulant clicks on my site (if I noticed a suspicious increase in CTR suddenly over a span of a couple of days) would they check it and confirm if it is or is not?
review your site's traffic logs for suspicious activity and notify at https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/request.py?contact=invalid_clicks_contact Code (markup):
So if we use adlogger and have proof to contact them about it? Seems like we can be vulnerable to click bombs..
I think your better off safe than sorry. If you email google i think they will know your not trying to do anything illegal and look at traffic. If it is bad they probably will just deduct the money and not ban site.
Just in case write to Googol and explain what happened. Their response will be pointless you know... bla-bla-bla, but if something happens and they re-examine your participation in Adsense program, this e-mail may help you. You know... the responsibility about all the clicks (real & fake) on your site is totally yours, so it is better to trace the clicks with some script like Addloger аnd to set some click limits and blocks. Good luck!
Yes. Write to Googol, however If it is bad they not ban site, in all probability will just deduct the money.
If they deduct money, it's fine since they weren't valid clicks. Anyways, I'm just confused about the increase in CTR (by 5 - 10%) and I haven't done anything differently to the site... so I'm contacting them to stay in good standing
I noticed this recently as well on one of my sites, had the adlogger stats, took some screenshots and notified g. Of course the reply was just a standard C&P (no matter what you ask... it always is) and they said they would look into it. IF anything does happen, at least I have this email saying I was being pro-active and trying to do something about it.
lmao don't email google about nothing, i've never heard of anyone on DP who's acct. has been reinstated even if they can prove that they were the ones to make them aware of the suspicion. Imo, they should be the ones that invalidate clicks from the same ip to the same ad, not the publisher. a visitor can and should be able to click or 3-4 different ads and the publisher given credit for those clicks.
If your site is too small, they'll just cancel your account when you ask multiple times (whether it happened or not). There is no point in discussing with a tiny advertiser. Even in the best case it only costs them CSR resources and doesn't bring them revenue.
