Heres the situation- A domain has been up for about a year, which was just for rough use (didnt care if it didnt get good SEO positions)- and was just a dummy page (to test somthing) I know natural link building requires links to be made slowly... But i didnt do this with this page as i didnt want it for SEO reasons (explained above) i build loads and loads of links from articles etc linking back to this page, in a short space of time (as i didnt care if it didnt get SEO rankings) now after a year, i wish to slowly build links to the page from blogs, directories etc.... so that it will rank high for SEO search terms in google etc. The question: Would building so many back links 6 months ago (between a 2-3 month period) hinder the progress now to slowly build links? in otherwords, would the fact that i built fast links at the start hinder the rankings for this site, if i now Slowly start to build links?
