How will the recession in the US affect us here on DP? About 80% of my revenue comes from websites: affiliate programs and adsense. What kind of affect is this going to have on me, if any at all? I'm sure I will feel something, right?
Americans will never stop shopping online, they are too addicted to it. Easy access to Credit cards is to blame.
I don't think there is going to be any much change in America's online shopping and surfing habits even with the recession.
Internet will boom as more users go online to search for bargains. I remembered after 9/11, Internet business was even better than before though the general economy was bad. Brick and mortar businesses were particularly hit but not Internet businesses. I guess one reason is scalability and lesser overheads. I am not too worried about recession impact on Internet business.
The Internet is the future, it is a free market economy that I don't think will be affected by the recession.
I agree, but would like to change one bit. I do think it will be affected, but I don't think it will necessarily be negative. It might spur a lot of online growth.
Most of the money flowing into the web is from the following sources: #1) Advertising #2) Freelancing #3) Services #4) Retail and Wholesale If there is a recession there will be a hit to online revenue. PPC will probably increase on the front end of a recession as sellers go into panic mode and try to maintain their revenue.
