How Will My Site Be Treated?

Ive just started a new site and already out of the handful of links i have around half of them (currently 8) are .gov.uk links, and im sure there will be a few more still to come.

My question is how will the search engines treat my site once these links are picked up? Will i get authority treatment? or will i be just another site?

    what are your thoughts?

It depends if your site and those gov.uk sites are of the same topic.

As far as I'm aware receiving links from sites with .gov.uk domain extensions are no different then links from .com / .net sites.
