Hello, I'm just curious if there a tool that gives the number of visits on a certain website? for example I want to know how many visitors Google have monthly? I've checked Alexa.com but it only gives page rank and % not the exact or estimated number of visitors.
Well there are many tools available for checking number of visitors for own sites. For example i have used Gostats.com Web counters on many of my sites and blogs and it offers comprehensive and real time tracking. For getting number of visitors to other site i have found only one tool while searching that is statbrain. You have to put the site URL and see the result well i didn't found any monthly option.
how other websites? for example i want to know how many people are visiting google, yahoo, and facebook?
Statbrain is the only one i have seen work, if you want to check your site visitor i would recommend among.us its a great site, and had various tools. Gives you real-time visitor count, and a history to see visitors in the past.
is this for your own site only? I'm looking for traffic stat of any website. I want to know the number of visitors they get.
As far as I know, you can't. Alexa is maybe the nearest you will get. Other than that email the admin and ask for GAna stats posing to buy the site for 7 figures. Let me know what Google says!
seems like there is no one offering that service today.. hmmm... Alexa is the nearest. BeerJacket, I think you are right
The only site that I know can do this is statbrain but not sure how accurate it is. Statbrain used to be OK but now if you enter a website you end up in position 506, which is OK if you have a couple of hours to sit around waiting for the report.
You won't be able to find that until you start working with Google & become its employee Using Google analytic you can find each & every detail but as a guest you can't, until they grant analytic guest access
Try using SEMRush.com, Compete.com, Quantcast.com. I am sure this will help you. These websites give you valuable insights for any website on the internet.
Alexa's data is a bit skewed as it's based on who has the Alexa toolbar installed, which tends to be business owners/webmasters/others interested in stats, rather than average Joe Public Compete.com is another option, but found it very inaccurate on checking my own sites, so wouldn't rely on it for looking at others. Generally, despite the skewed data, Alexa is a good bet for seeing how popular a site is.
I think complete.com is the answer! thank you very much. now i know that google got about 144,959,861 unque visitors a month haha! same with other sites
