    1. download the wordpress script
    2. unzip the files to your harddrive
    3. have a look at the readme file - you will probably need to change a few lines in your config file
    4. upload your files and point your browser to the URL mentioned in the readme file
    5. fill in a few fiels which will display on the screen
    6. your wordpress blog is installed now - log in, set up everything you want to set up and start blogging
