How will search engines change say over the next 10 years or so. Will search engines still dominate when it comes to people searching for information. Do we expect this figure to rise or fall? How do you think the industry itself will change. Are we going to see some consolidation, new entrants?
yes i think even after 10 years search engines rules.it may be more easy to search that time and many new search engines may come.i hope google will update search results and PR good in fucture
I agree the search engines will still remain but their interfaces and search algorithms will definitely change. The current algorithms are good but not the best. You don't usually get what you want in a second. You need to look through at least a few pages.
I think there will be more search engines in the next 10 years. But I doubt they if they can match Google's filter.
How does your generic, non-specific question pertain to Google except in the thread title? To the question at hand, I think search engines will get better at sifting out crap content. Consolidations are not likely, everyone wants to make their own niche ... Ask.com is a good example - not king of the hill, but still going for broke. New entrants? Everyday!
got an assignment coming up? There's a marvellous parody on Google taking over the earth - funny but not totally unrealistic. It's a movie - anyone have the link - may help qwestcommunications get the vision...
I think search engines will move backwards!! because internet speeds will be so fast that search engines can search the internet and do it instantly so they will not have to store data and have outdataed information. It will be like first plane vs the space shuttle...
