SIZE="4"] In such a rapid progressing gaming world, how will the games look like after 10 years?? Will there be a change in playing methods? How will the graphics look like ??
Games will become more virtual than anything. I believe there was a movie like that where the games are real. They will dictate how we live and how we feel.... and we will all hail the power of VR. I know Im insane about it but I cant help it.LOL.
Virtual Games would be hot... Maxine... your name should be a game.... that would be a hot virtual game. People wouldnt go to work anymore. I played the Nintendo Wii and it was off the chain... its soon going to be for real.
If you are imagining a game like what game it be look like in 10 years or so? Guys do you watch Gamer Movie by Gerard Butler? it's a game that uses a real human. maybe it is not impossible that when we play a game we are the Character who plays the game. i maybe speak weird things but it is not impossible to happen, right guys? do you agree?
futures game look will like in very easily condition in future, so that every person could handle this
I dont recall the name of the movie but it has Jude law in it. And they play games by plugging in directly to their spinal chord. i believe thats where we are headed, minus the over-hyped dooms day like scenarios..
Virtual reality... you feel the sensation when you play it... You participate on the game, feel anything... But it must not give any side effect in psychology..
I still think that video games are better played using joysticks or keyboards. It is more fun this way. But the games in the future will surely have much better graphics and sounds!
Motion sensitive games seem like they might be really far away, even though they are physically possible now
In some ways, gaming is taking the wrong course. Companies are developing for the mainstream, producing gay shit like RA3 and MW2. In the long run though, we will definitely see an evolution in which we have something - somewhat - similar to the Matrix, lol. In the mean time, they will probably jump on the 3D bandwagon. Hell, we only got big screen TV's in our house like 3-4 years ago now they're selling 3D TV's, I won't be buying one for some time. Oh well, as long as you have a PS3 and a gaming PC you should be fine for the next 6 or 7 years.
Scoty, there's no reason to call MW2 or RA3 gay in my opinion, MW2 for example has been a very successful game, so the makers must have done something right. And I believe games like the PC and Tv based consoles like the PS3 are fun but in the long run(20-30 years) we will see a start to see a lot of overweight kids growing up which in the long run would mean people dieing faster and in the end the population of this earth would take a turn for the worse, with the help of processed foods and material, good health and environments are definitely going down. I believe we should start investing in games that help us move a lot, the Wii is an amazing example and if we start eating more organic foods we may see better results for a much more healthy tomorrow.
Things are going to reach a cap soon. If the next generation doesn't have photorealistic HD graphics, or at least the potential for such, I'll be surprised. The only real reason not to is fear of the Uncanny Valley effect, or in other words, the in-between state between where graphics are now and true photorealism, where things will look almost-human and not. See Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within for an idea of what that looks like. If we don't get photorealism, I'd expect a move towards more cartoony stylization, like cel-shading, or Mario and Sonic games. Once we've made the perfect simulation of real life, where else is there to go besides our dreams?
They would totally look as real as possible. You thought that you are not already playing a video game.
We will use our own bodys to control the games (much better than Kincect from XBOX 360), and the 3D will be so real that we will be much more involved in the game Or We still use our own bodys to control the games and there will be possible to feel the cenario and in the hardcore mode we will die if we loose (lol)
Games in the future can possibly be controlled using the mind. The player just wear something like a sensor that is connected to the mind. It will be cool.
For me the future of gaming started when Microsoft started on Project Natal now officially called Microsoft Kinetc for the XBOX360. It is a controller-free motion sensor controller (quite confusing?). Watch this E3 video for Project Natal of Kinetc for you to understand more how the future of gaming will really change. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2qlHoxPioM
