How/where to hide old blog in revamped website?

I have a fairly good blog which gets more than 1000+ unique on weekdays, PR is 4.

Now I plan to revamp the blog to a website and to place the blog in such a place so that it is not visible to viewers.

I can not do without the blog, because it will give me traffic and good SERP, but I don't want to showcase the blog content in the website because I am kind of embarrassed to show the content for some reasons.

Will you suggest a way out please?

PS: I plan to have a new blog at the top nav bar, extreme right.

You can place old blog link(s) at footer and hide them with the help of CSS to make them merge with the background color of site. This should not be practised but it will definitely help you.

Why not just redirect the domain to a separate domain? You get the best of both worlds
