I notice that some websites but not all have copyright information, Terms and conditions as well Disclaimers worded legally. How and where do I get these. Do I need to go to a lawyer? If so will it cost a bomb. I am planning to run a directory site but need to ensure I am safe by local laws. I know some will suggest a standard copy paste, but I don't believe that is a good idea. thanks for any tips.
I dont think anyone actually sites down and writes these from scratch! Even if you see a lawyer these things are written all over the internet as templates and are fully legal in their wording. It doesnt have to be prepared by a lawyer to be legal, it just has to have the right wording to protect you. If your in the UK make sure you have the cookie directive with an option to accept terms and conditions and cookies in the same question. This will cover you for all legal eventualities in the terms and conditions, if it is an adult site you might be required to post a portal page asking if the visitor is 18 etc ...
Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. I understand I can reuse from some source. Could you or anyone please provide a source from where I could adapt such legalese?
