For technical reasons we have downtimes of the server once in a while. How does it affect the marketing of the site? Whats the solution?

From my experience I saw if any website is down often it starts loosing people. This can be the worst thing happen to e-commerce sites.

Not only do you loose customers who are visiting your site at that point in time, you also loose your search engine rankings, especially if the downtime is prolonged.

Sometimes its really difficult. If you have a high traffic site with lot of db connections disaster can happen with single stupid reasons.

Downtime is a real killer. Consider adding a redundant server.
