How We Get "likes" ?

Actually you don't need a lot of time to accrue likes. From what I gather, (though I'm still a relatively unliked member since the new system kicked in), you just have to say the right thing at the right time. Even better if you can offer something of value. Just make sure others enjoy reading what you write.

 

You're probably right, but replying at the right time is just luck, unless you actually spend time reading the forums.

Best way seems to be to have a go at people who are offering feedback, and telling them that nothing is wrong.

 

You can pay for a premium membership for $125/year and also, it supports the site for users like you!

My guess is that your post is supposed to have substance in order for the like to appear. It can't be a one liner.

The idea of best answer isn't bad because few people think about liking a post but when you response or solution is helpful, you get awarded as the best answer and the combination of both seems reasonable.

I just read your thoughts on using Best answers, the same can be said for likes. Friends can like friends post and vice versa. At the end of the day no system is perfect.

The secret to like is having useful, relevant and quality post. Patience is a virtue, I am learning on this forum, so I need to in my spare time chip in here and there.

This feature is only available for established or premium members, you need them to GIVE you likes. Yes it isn't visible for you until you are either established or join as a premium member.

I never thought about this and this a actually a nice tip if someone is focused on just getting Likes. I want to be helpful and give something back to DP. I know I got a lot in previous years.

 

It's simple: You have to communicate. Not just "post". And show some effort. And yes, if someone isn't willing to do that, 125 a year shouldn't be too much to pay considering that quite a few members here make a few thousand a month from the marketplace.

So I don't really understand what everyone's problem with it is.

 

Ok, i will tell you my secret way to get likes!
You don't need to read this if you are already likeable, useful or fluffy.
If you are like me, hateable, useless and not fluffy you have to push your way through:
Get a rabbit and than get on youtube and say that the rabbit get's it if you don't get likes. That's all!
GET! You get it?
But be sure not to be double crossed by the rabbit. He might steel you the likes because they are already likeable, useful and fluffy.
Or you can wait 5-6 years...It's your choice!

 

I 100% agree with your fluffy theory. I can't help but notice that there is this fluffy teddy bear around here that seems to get likes every time he shows up. And if you don't think teddys are fluffy enough, there is also a cute penguin that seems to score likes as well.
So gang just fluff it out and the likes will come, no doubt about it. But.....there is this guitar playing teacher that also gets lots of likes, and he's not fluffy at all....... can't explain that one!

May be the guitar teacher display is talent in a skillful and passionate manner seeking to satisfy his audience, by giving them the best and in returns get the approval of his audience who enjoys his guitar skill. hope I tried to explain it.

 

We only have his avatar in which he is holding a guitar. We don't actually know if he can really play.

 

Then the way the teacher is holding the avatar containing the guitar makes him look more attractive and promising than the cute penguin and fluffy teddy bear, that got him more likes.

 

If i didn't played guitar i wouldn't understand what you are saying, but i play and i manage to do that without being liked. For example: when i play in front of a few friends i ask them what would they like to hear. They say that and that, and that... Ok, i won't be playing that, i will play what i like to play!
Of course, they don't like me, but at the end of the show i take out the rabbit and i tell them that the rabbit get's it if they don't like me!
What good is a joke when it's explained?
To not create confusion anymore i would like to say that i had rabbits and i love them very much and i would never hurt them to be liked. Also, they are delicious!

About cute Penguin, the avatar itself is really great. I remember he said "Animals are considered HOT in DP". The best comment I ever seen.

I don't know about Guitar Playing Teacher in this forum. We are supposed not to talk about 'you know who'.
Anyone know about him? I hear he is one of the most wanted member in DP (beside Master Teddy Bear, The awesome Penguin, and Blue Diva with Beautiful Eye) due to his beautiful voice and song.

Because it is you who asking it, I'll answer the question. I was a rabbit but after getting three likes I turn into human. 'Three likes' from DP surely has great magic.

Last time I play the guitar, three birds dropped from the tree and need serious treatments in hospital. Local investigator told me if they were shocked to hear me playing guitar. So I consider myself could play guitar.

It never works. Master Teddy Bear and Awesome Penguin is considered HOT in DP.

I guess your rabbit will love you more after hearing that.

Because to get likes, you must need to make quality posts which helps others and have something useful and effective to share to community rather than random posts!
