    Just login google local maps, if already u have a google account. the click add your business button. then put your business name and full address with zip. your contact no also. The last step is a verification step. there are 3 type of verification available. call from google to ur landline, getting msg to ur mobile and postal card come to ur mailing address. which one u have to like, you can choose and going to ur process.

    Google: How to Add Your Local Search Engine Listing in Google:

    1. Add your local business to Google. Doing so requires a free Google Account.
    2. Fill in the details including location, phone number and services/products offered. Take your time but don’t worry, you can edit it later.
    3. Submit your listing and choose either telephone or postal verification. Postal verification takes longer, but is needed if you have a toll-free phone number. I chose Postal verification, and received this two weeks later.

    To get listed, first you have to login to Google maps(you must have a Gmail account to access), once you are through with it then it comes to details about your business like address, pin-code, contact number. Be careful when you are filling description area, you must write what is your business all about in detail, since you are trying to target local audience it is important to do so.
    Then it comes to verification, once you claim your business in maps, Big G will ask to verify yourself as a business owner, and to list your business it is a must do step, so provide correct details, there are some option regarding verification process like 1) a call from Google itself, or 2) Message verification through your mobile, or 3) Through a post card, a letter will be delivered to your mailing address.
