You need to open an account with some sort of stock broker. ETrade and Scottrade are two of the bigger online ones. I opened a TradeKing account a long time ago because their fees are fairly low, but I never ended up using it so I can't really comment on how good they are.

What goes up, must come down. Predictions are ~$950-$1000 for '08.

You should be able to buy stocks from Turkey. I would recommend www.zecco.com because they don't charge transaction fees and are a "Free Trading Community", which I think is good for newbies.

Let us know if you can sign up or not without an account.

And also, they won't send you an actual "certificate" unless you ask for one. You don't really need it.

"What goes up must come down" does not fit stock trading at all. It's dumb to even say that. Stocks If you bought $500 worth of Walmart stock 20 years ago, you're a Multi-millionaire today.

A year from now we'll all be saying "I should have bought it when it was only at $711."

Or we'll be really happy we let it be :)

Sorry to burst your bubble but a Wal-Mart investment of $500 20 years ago would only be worth about $80,000-90,000. Still a good investment but definitely not a multi-millionaire and the stock is actually down 20% if you bought seven years ago.

There is no point in saying this. My dad bought 10 shares in Jindal Steel when they were Rs.10. Now there are all 4 digit. If only he had the interest years ago...
