How Was This Site Made?

Hi, so I've been working on a design for awhile and I decided to take the plunge
and begin making the site. Through trial and error, I will be using JOOMLA (I'm a beginner).

As I was searching the internet I found [b l o o d y - d i s g u s t i n g . c o m]
and I was wondering If JOOMLA can make a site similar to this or is it a custom
script? My site will have a similar type of functions / extensions.

First off the menus don't work and second it's a easy to code template

 

Yes, Photoshop and them html +plus some additional coding (like with asp or maybe php?)

I'm using photoshop and dreamweaver to make the template and using the m65 conversion
tool to convert it to joomla.

My main concern is I want the reviews system to work just like the one on the
site and I have no clue how to go about doing that. I'm assuming the user
reviews are bridged with vBulletin? But yeah, thats my main concern; having and
knowing how get the site to perform similar to that site.

Sorry if this is a bit confusing, My minds overwhelmed with BS right now ahha
