how useful is DMOZ if i have page 1 results in google

    You will get an even larger number of page 1 results in other keywords and higher overall results in everything else.

    hey i can help you out in it first choose category in which your blog adjust then chose subcategory then again sub category after collecting category on the top you will see suggest your URL then you can submit your blog in it

    There are a zillion threads on this. DMOZ is just a good backlink, no more and no less. They no different to any other good backlink, so a DMOZ backlink will help you in Google as much as any other good backlink. There are a zillion other ways to get a good backlink.

    Many would not have added the "good" before the "backlink" ;) As in, it's just a link... a good link would be a one way link within content. That is something DMOZ certainly is not :D

    But ultimately you are correct... a link is a link is a link, and it's worth the time of submission. The additional link will likely never hurt...

    If you are already in Google page one for your desired keywords, DMOZ won't change anything. Just a back link. Most people listed in DMOZ say the listing didn't change their pagerank.
